This story is the fourth Short Horror Tale to feature Mr Slowly, a ruthless assassin turned monster-killer, and his handler/partner Pearl. Although Hunting Slowly can be read as a stand-alone, you can also follow the character through Kill Him, Slowly; Kill The President, Slowly; and Slowly, Under Siege. He’s gone from an efficient murderer who didn’t believe in the supernatural, to an agent of an organisation seeking to eliminate the world’s most evil threats. At the same time, he’s found something he never expected – a partner he can trust, who he even regards as a friend.
Master assassin Mr Slowly and his partner Pearl are on a mission: to hunt down the entity that is already hunting them. In just 48 hours, it can find them wherever they are, whatever they do. Their only hope is to stop its searching forever. They track their nemesis to an old warehouse – containing over fifty vampires, a grotesque secret and an enemy that may be unstoppable. A titanic battle rages, and the pair must combine weapons, tactics and desperation just to hope to survive.
